"I got saved and baptized on September 7, 2008. Unlike a lot of people, I wasn’t in any trouble, or having any hardship that lead me to Christ. But instead of the opposite. I was always the "good girl" who never got in any major trouble, always was nice to people, sure I had my downfalls but nothing major. I didn’t attend church, so around 3 weeks prior to September 7, 2008, I started visiting my family church. By the second week I knew it was time to give my life to Christ. I felt it in my heart. I waited though. I waited until the third week to give my life to Christ Jesus. And that same day my life wasn't the same any longer. I had a new life, new mind, new spirit. When I came home that day, I immediately made changes. I threw away all my secular urban fiction novels, I deleted all secular music off my computer, phone, and mp3 player. I stopped using profanity immediately. Basically I gave up a lot of stuff. Those around me didn’t understand how could I change and let go some many things all at one. It wasn’t hard at all. I didn’t have to give up much compared to most. I didn’t drink so that was nothing to give up. I didn’t smoke, I never have had sex, so those wasn’t a factor. But since I've accepted Christ, I can truly call myself a true Christ Follower and not just having the label of a Christian like 95 % of people in today's society. I walk the life of Christ even though I fall short daily, but I'm living through the spirit and not of the flesh so I'm not a a slave to sin but instead a slave to righteous. I hope this will inspire someone else who seeks Christ."
